More on Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow Children

In my last article, I wrote about indigo children (people). I provided a summarized list of traits that I have seen and that others have described. However, as I mentioned, I don’t think you can positively show that someone is indigo or not based on these traits. No two people are alike. Some people have many of the traits and are not indigo. Some people are indigo but only have a few of the traits. I’m not sure that you can accurately determine if someone is indigo or not from a list of traits that a person may or may not identify with. Something more objective is needed. I believe I have found an objective test. In working with indigo people and doing brain balancing as part of a technique that I developed, I noticed a different pattern of brain energy in indigo people. (This partly involves muscle testing. It’s not an EEG.) Over time, I was able to develop the testing banner2_jpeg (2)further where I could easily tell if someone did or did not have this particular brain energy that I have come to associate with indigos. So I believe that my test is reliable for determining if someone is indigo, without having to simply rely on a list of personality traits.

Most people that I test do not show up as indigo. Being indigo is not very common. Some people, when they learn that they’re not indigo, feel disappointed. It makes them feel less special. Plus they were looking for something to explain some of their unique qualities. As I said in my last article, being indigo is both good and bad. It may give you special talents, but it also gives you special problems. The main thing to remember is that everyone has special gifts, which I believe are given to them by God. Being indigo identifies you as a person with a certain kind of brain energy. It does not make you more special than everyone else. It is unique since it’s not common. However, YOU are unique, whether you’re indigo or not.

So far, I’m the oldest indigo that I’ve found. There may be some older, but I doubt very many. I recently found that my best friend from high school, who is just 5 days younger than me, is also indigo. I believe that’s why we immediately felt so comfortable with each other and liked to spend so much time together (similar brain energy). I was born in 1955. It’s said that many indigos came in the 70’s and 80’s. I personally believe that it’s still increasing, though they are sometimes known by different terms.

Some people have asked me about Crystal Children and Rainbow Children. They are said to be the newer “versions” of Indigo Children. This overall classification of these people with these particular special gifts have been collectively referred to as “Star Children”. Some say that the first wave of star children was indigo, the second was crystal, and the third (and perhaps last) was/is rainbow. I am in the process of studying more about crystal and rainbow children. I have gathered some information but I don’t have a lot to share yet. However, I can’t say that I agree with the consecutive wave idea. I have found indigos from all age groups – from my own all the way down to infants. Indigos are still coming into the world and are probably increasing. What then are crystal and rainbow children? I believe that they are variations of indigo. I have found individuals who test differently from indigos, whom I am classifying as crystal. (I don’t mean to offend anyone in choosing my own way of classifying indigos, crystals and rainbows. But hey, I’m indigo. That’s what we do!) When I can give more definitive information on crystals and rainbows, I will follow up with another article.

So what am I treating with indigo people? I cannot change the fact that they’re indigo, nor would I want to try. However, there are a number of issues that most (if not all) indigos have to deal with, which I can help them with. Indigos’ brain energy reaches out further than other people. This is one of the main reasons why we’re more intuitive, empathetic and effective healers. However, this also makes us more vulnerable to negative energy from other people. We tend to have more energetic imbalances in our brain. And because we tend to be more sensitive and have a harder time fitting in, we need to work on our emotions more. I use a variety of energy balancing techniques to help with these issues.

As an older indigo, and one who is trained and experienced in healing arts, I definitely feel that part of my mission here in this life is to find and help other indigos. Of course, most of the people I work with are not indigo and I help them too. However, I feel especially called to help other indigos. This has a two-fold purpose. For one thing, many indigos don’t deal well with their unique qualities. They can become withdrawn, depressed, distracted, confused, etc. Some even turn to drugs and alcohol to try to cope. I use the Emotion Code, brain balancing and other modalities to help them to live effectively in this world where they may not even feel like they belong. Secondly, I want them to be able to use their gift effectively to help themselves and others to have more joy and success in this life. Being indigo certainly isn’t all bad. Properly understood and somewhat controlled, this unique brain energy can be viewed as the real gift that it is.

Are you an Indigo Child???

I am an “Indigo Child”. And I’m a healer. In my practice of energy work and chiropractic, I have encountered a numbebanner2_jpeg (2)r of other indigo children. One is in his late 20’s, one is a young boy living in Shanghai, China, and one is an infant. The others that I have encountered are adults and children of varying ages. What is an indigo child (or adult)? Wikipedia describes them as “children who are believed to possess special, unusual, and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities. The idea is based on concepts developed in the 1970s by Nancy Ann Tappe and further developed by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober.” This is a New Age term used to describe people who have been born within the last several decades who have a stronger, somewhat different brain energy.

From my own observations and descriptions from others, the following is a summary of traits that are common among indigo people:

  • Naturally intuitive, maybe even a little psychic – able to sense and feel things that many people are unaware of.
  • Non-conformist – resists rigid authority, does not like to follow well-worn paths, prefers to choose their own way (not even conforming to non-mainstream groups).
  • Often feels out of place – doesn’t “belong” – since their energy is different, they often feel like they don’t fit in, especially in school and many other social situations. They’re often a loner, except with people who have similar energy.
  • May be prone to depression, ADD/ADHD, and other social/emotional difficulties.
  • Generally higher IQ – may be very analytical and have a desire to understand how things work (including life).
  • Creative and inventive – music and/or art is important. When combined with non-conformity, they often prefer to come up with new ideas than to use established tools and techniques.
  • Though feelings of inferiority are common, they generally feel that they’re better at seeing the big picture and understanding what’s happening in the world. People say that indigos are very self-assured. They generally know that they’re special, but since they don’t feel like they belong, they often struggle with their feelings of self-worth. Since they often are more assured of their viewpoint, they can be seen as arrogant or cocky. They have high expectations of themselves and others.
  • Are empathetic, curious, and strong-willed.
  • Possess a clear sense of self-definition and purpose – they’re often a leader, have a strong sense of integrity, and have a passion to find and fulfill their purpose in life.
  • Strong tendency toward spirituality, often exhibited early in life. May not be religious unless they find a religion that addresses their drive for purpose and meaning in life. May also feel drawn to the paranormal.
  • They often have a strong feeling of entitlement – feeling like they deserve to be here.
  • Tend to be more emotional – feel more deeply than most people. They don’t want to hurt or disappoint anyone. Money often takes a back seat to fulfillment.

Can you relate to some or all of these traits? If so, you may be an indigo. Do these describe your child, a friend, or someone else? They could be indigo. But how can you really know? No two people are alike. Remarkably, I have two indigo staff members. Their personalities are very different, although they share some of these same characteristics. Someone could have practically every one of these traits but not be indigo. Someone else could only relate to a few of these traits, but definitely be indigo. So how would you know?

Having worked with several indigo children over the last couple of years, and using muscle testing and brain balancing techniques that I use (part of the Vital Balance technique), I’ve noticed certain patterns. Recently I’ve been using some of this testing on almost all of my patients. While it still appears that indigo children are a small part of the overall population, there are many more than I had originally thought! You’re seldom going to find something you’re not looking for. Now that I’m looking for them, they’re not quite as rare as I thought.

Is being indigo a good thing or a bad thing? The answer is a definite yes. In other words, it can be both a blessing and a curse. Indigos can be great healers, but they tend to be far more vulnerable to picking up other people’s negative energy. They may be very spiritual, but are more likely to have attachments from dark forces that they don’t want. They may be more inventive, able to see the bigger picture, be smarter, but feel like an outsider, not a part of the group, which can lead to depression and lack of self-worth, and so on. So there’s plenty of good and bad.

Indigos need special consideration when I do my energy and emotion work. I’ve been able to help them lead more stable and enjoyable lives. I’ve been able to help some of them develop their special talents more so they can help others.

Happiness and the “If Only” Syndrome

Happy confused babyI’ve written before about how the purpose of life is to have joy and that happiness can be gained in a variety of ways, especially with expressing gratitude. Since we’re all looking for happiness, it’s normal to associate happiness with particular people, places, events, foods, etc. This can sometimes be helpful. When we start to lose our way on the path to joy, they can be an anchor – something we can return to that reminds us of happier times, thus enabling us to re-experience that feeling of happiness. Sometimes however, these associations can be destructive. Perhaps the most common of these are sweet foods. People frequently get into a cycle where they eat to feel happy (comfort foods), but then they gain weight. When they see the weight gain, it causes a degree of sadness and disappointment. So where do they go for comfort? Sweet, fatty foods. Then they get into that downward spiral. I knew another guy who was a clean freak. He would spend so much time cleaning that he would often fall short on other important responsibilities. That would make him feel guilty. How did he deal with the feelings of guilt? Clean some more.

Situations where we frequently and easily return to things that make us feel happy can be destructive, or at least hold us back in life. However, there are often sources of happiness that are not easily attained, which can be just as destructive, if not more so. This is the “if only” syndrome. “If only I could lose weight, I’d feel more attractive, which would make me happier.” “If only I had more money, I would be really happy.” There are two varieties of “if only’s”. One is trying to return to a condition that you used to enjoy. This could be your childhood – a time when you felt safe and secure (if you were fortunate enough to have a wonderful childhood), when you had no debt, no marital issues, etc. It could be a great vacation you had but conditions won’t allow you to do it again at this time in your life. Perhaps it was a time when you were thinner, or had more money, or had a job you really loved, etc. In that situation, you can get stuck in the past. You’re not moving forward because you keep looking back.

The other “if only” is where you’re stuck wishing for a condition that you’ve never experienced. “If only I’d been born into a rich family.” “If only I was married to this other person.” “If only I’d been taller, or thinner, or smarter, or better looking, or more talented, or had the opportunity for better education, etc.” If only, if only, if only. Sometimes people keep wishing for a better condition, and then one day they finally accomplish their dream, only to find that they had their ladder leaning up against the wrong wall, as it were. I’ve known of some people who worked hard to become rich and famous, but then when they reached that point, they found that it did not provide the happiness that they thought it would. Some of these even resulted in suicide. That’s not to say that dreams don’t come true and that those dreams don’t turn out to be everything you hoped for and more. (I’m really not trying to pessimistic here.) Sometimes we can accomplish these “if only’s” and sometimes we can’t. I think that hopes and dreams can be great, as long we don’t lose touch with the opportunities of the present.

I work with a lot of people who get stuck in an “if only” situation. However, since I deal with so many people, I see many contradictions. I see people who are depressed and frustrated because they’re having a hard time losing weight. And yet, I see lots of thin people who are frustrated and depressed. I see people who are really struggling with financial problems. And yet, having money doesn’t prevent all problems. There are rich people who are miserable too, although having money does give you more and better choices. (I actually don’t see this too often. Most people who are successful have already overcome the if-only syndrome.)

Whether we’re linking our happiness to the past or the future, it’s a very risky and frustrating situation. Happiness is a choice. As I talk about in my Emotion Code class, no one can make you happy, sad, angry or anything else. Other people can provide input, but it’s your reaction to it that determines your emotion. There is very little joy except in the present. Even happy memories can hold us back if we get stuck longing for them. Feeling joy in the moment can help us to break free from the if-only syndrome. Tools such as the Emotion Code and ho’oponopono can assist us in that. Happiness (joy) comes from the inside. I believe that it is a gift from God.

As I work with people, I look for trapped emotions that are holding people back — physically, emotionally or in their life’s goals. We can often make a significant difference in their lives as we clear out this excess baggage (whether we do it in the office or remotely). We align the spine to help the nervous system, we balance chakras, and clear up other imbalances that interfere with the full expression of health and happiness.

 

Success and the Universe

UniverseThe universe hates lies, inconsistencies, and vacuums. So does your subconscious mind. I’ve found a lot of similarities between increasing prosperity and losing weight. There’s been a lot written about the “power of positive thinking” when it comes to prosperity, but not as much for losing weight. There are diets and weight loss programs galore. The principles that I will discuss here apply not only to weight loss and prosperity, but virtually every aspect of life.

When you say “I am fat” or “I am poor”, you are reaffirming to the universe that that is your truth, which it obediently follows. When you say “I need to lose weight” or “I desperately need more money”, what is the message that you’re putting out there? The universe doesn’t want to make you into a liar. If you lost weight, there would be an inconsistency with your statement and belief that you need to lose weight, which it doesn’t want to create. Of course, once you lose the weight, you would no longer say that (hopefully), so the inconsistency would go away. The problem is in getting there. Don’t ask the universe to create inconsistency, which it abhors. The same thing goes for prosperity. If you NEED money, how can the universe give you money without making you a liar?

If you’re logical and analytical like me, you immediately see a problem. If you’re fat and say that you’re thin, then you are already a liar. Plus there’s the fear that if you say you’re thin, you’ll stop working on losing weight and just go hog-wild with food, which will make you even fatter. So it is with money. Saying that you’re wealthy when you’re really poor is not speaking truthfully. Plus there’s a possibility that you’ll start spending money you don’t have simply because you’re acting the part of a wealthy person.

First of all, (someone correct me if I’m wrong) you need to maintain some thread of connection with “reality”. Your logical mind knows that the money isn’t actually in your bank account YET. I don’t recommend that you go out and try to buy a yacht when you only have $13 in the bank simply because you’re convincing the universe and yourself that you’re already wealthy. As positive thinking gurus (Leslie Householder and others) will tell you, it’s not that you have to convince yourself that the money is already in your account and available to spend, which would not be true. However, it is a truth that once you’ve declared prosperity for yourself, in a sense, that wealth, which is “out there”, is on its way to you and can properly considered yours. So if I fully believe that I am a millionaire and declare it to the universe without doubt or hesitation, yet only have $13 in the bank currently, am I a liar? No. I certainly can’t spend it yet, but I am whoever I say I am and I can be assured that it’s on its way to me. It may take a month, a year, or 10 years, but it doesn’t make it any less mine. What if I die before it gets here? Am I a fool for spending my remaining years believing in something that never came? Or would I be more a fool for constantly reaffirming to the universe that I’m broke and therefore ensuring that I would remain broke?

Secondly, rich, poor, healthy, unhealthy, fat, thin… it’s all relative. The universe doesn’t make those kinds of distinctions. These are relative terms that only make sense in our own minds. If you say you’re poor, the universe will do its best to keep you poor, as you see it. If you drive through a neighborhood of mansions with Rolls Royce’s and Mercedes’ in every driveway, you might feel like you’re poor. Yet, without changing your current financial situation, you can look at someone who truly is in abject poverty, who lives in a dirt hut with no conveniences whatsoever, where they’re lucky to get a small bowl of rice once a day, and suddenly you feel wealthy. So which is it? Are you rich or are you poor? You can see the absurdity of putting a fixed label on yourself either way. (Please keep in mind that I’m speaking to the masses in the middle. I don’t expect someone who truly is in abject poverty to somehow think like a millionaire. Even then, these principles can be used in some small way in any situation to improve one’s situation.)

The same principle applies to your weight. If you’re 80 pounds over the weight you think you should be at and you start hanging around people who are 200-300 pounds overweight, you’re less likely to feel horribly fat. On the other hand, if you spend time with people who don’t have an ounce of extra fat, you’re probably going to feel like you’re tremendously overweight. Which is it? Are you fat or thin? It’s all relative. If you think “fat”, you attract fat. You are what you tell the universe you are. It doesn’t care one way or the other. Of course, if you know that you’re significantly overweight and you tell the universe that you’re thin, it feels like a lie. You “know” that you’re overweight, not just because of whom you hang around with, but you have a tape measure, a scale and a mirror as evidence that you don’t weigh what you’d like to weigh. Still, it’s important to keep in mind that it’s all relative.

As you focus on the way you want to be, not as wishful thinking, but assuming that role and thinking as if you’re already there, you create some conflict. You will most likely feel that conflict within, but you understand what that conflict is all about. So you can deal with it. The universe doesn’t know what to do with it. One of two things has to happen – either you have to go back to your old way of thinking (the one that matches your current reality) or the universe has to restore balance by bringing to you the thing that you desire and believe is yours. So keep thinking right and you’ll be far more likely to attract the positive changes in your life you desire.

The Power of Intention

The Power of IntentionWhen my children were young and starting to do chores around the house, we struggled with getting them to do a good job at their tasks. They would go through the motions of washing the dishes, but the dishes didn’t really get clean. They would vacuum the carpet, but not really care if the vacuum was clogged up and not picking anything up. As I think back on it now, they were doing exactly what they thought they were supposed to be doing. Their purpose was to wash the dishes or vacuum the carpet or whatever. Once they went through those motions, their purpose was accomplished and it was time to play.

How often in our lives are we just “going through the motions”? Of course, I didn’t just want my children to go through the motions of doing their chores. I wanted the dishes clean, the carpet clean, etc. That’s why I assigned them those tasks. But it took me a while to get them to understand that concept. In my own life, there have been times when I was just going through the motions, even though I didn’t always realize it. When I was young, I was taught (or so I understood) that if you be good and work hard, you’ll be rewarded with success. Later, I found that doesn’t always work. There were times when I was working like crazy and being a good boy and saying my prayers and so forth, but still I couldn’t get ahead. I realized that there was more to it. So I started listening to CD’s and reading books by people who were experts on how to get ahead in life. Many of them made it sound so easy. I tried implementing their suggestions, but still my progress was very slow and I would finally give up in frustration. I just wasn’t getting it.

Over the past few years, things have been turning around for me. I’ve picked up again on motivational speakers and authors and I think I’m finally starting to “get it”. It has a lot to do with faith. However, I prefer the word “intention”. I see intention as the purpose behind why you do what you do. Having a strong intention doesn’t guarantee success, but it makes it a whole lot more likely and will take you further than having a weak (or no) intention. Have you ever seen a football team come out onto the field where it just didn’t seem like they were there with the intention to win the game? It can be very frustrating when you’re the fan rooting for them to win. In any endeavor, if you don’t have a strong intention to win, the chances of winning are greatly diminished. Having an intention to “do your best” or “not lose” is NOT the same as fully intending to win.

In writing about faith in the past, I’ve referred to one of my favorite examples in the New Testament where the woman was cured of an issue of blood simply by touching the hem of the Savior’s clothes. Jesus felt virtue coming out of him, which in modern terms of energy work, we could say that he felt an energy shift. When he found the woman and determined what had happened, he told her that her faith had made her whole (healthy). I really don’t think Jesus was telling a little white lie to show humility. I believe he always told the truth. So it was the faith of this woman and not really an act on his part. Imagine if a friend of this woman told her to go and touch Jesus’ clothes and she would be healed, but she reacted with an attitude of, “OK, I’ll do it, but I don’t think it will work”. Do you think that she would have been healed? In this case, I would definitely say no.

In the healthcare work that I do, I’ve often wondered why two doctors would do apparently the same thing, but get very different results. There are many variables, such as the skill of the doctor, the condition of the patient, etc. However, I think there’s more to it. In the 30 years that I’ve been in practice, I’ve seen differences in myself as well as other practitioners, things that couldn’t always be explained. Now I see that a lot of it has to do with intention. One chiropractor can give someone an adjustment without much expectation, another can do it with the intention of helping the patient feel a little better, while yet another can do the same adjustment with the intention of seeing a miracle take place in the life of the patient. Will that last doctor always see a miracle with every adjustment he performs? Probably not, but he or she will see a lot more miracles in their practice than the doctor who never expects miracles or who is not treating with the intention of seeing miracles.

The same is true in every profession or endeavor. There will always be setbacks, but if your intention is to succeed, almost nothing can stop you. Whether you’re sweeping floors, bussing tables, or doing brain surgery, if your intention is to succeed, you’ll not only do a better job but receive greater satisfaction as well. Remember, wanting and needing is NOT the same thing as intending. I spent many years wanting and needing and working myself to a frazzle, but just getting more and more frustrated with not being able to provide sufficiently for my family. Even being deserving isn’t enough. When you’re not raised with a strong intention to succeed, when you’re just used to trying hard and doing your best (which isn’t wrong, but often is not enough to put you over the top), it can be tricky to learn. People who have found success often make it sound easy – “if I can do it, anyone can do it”. However, changing patterns of thinking that you’ve known all your life is seldom easy. I’ve been helped by people like Leslie Householder (author of The Jackrabbit Factor), Wayne Dyer, Russ Rosen, Angela Barrus and others, including my office partner, Joe Kepo’o, to help turn my thinking around. I still have to work at it so as not to drop back into old patterns of thinking, but to the extent that I’ve managed to have more purpose in my life and career, to the extent that I’ve been able to put more intention into what I do, I’ve been able to see far more success, not just monetarily but in helping people to have more miracles in their lives. THAT, my friends, is my true purpose in life. It’s why I do what I do – to change lives for the better through helping people heal both physically and emotionally. Life is wonderful.

Allergies

allergensI used to always say that I don’t have any allergies. After all, there’s nothing that I eat or touch that gives me hives, makes my throat close up, makes me itch all over, or even give me a major bout of runny nose and watery eyes. Since I’ve become a NAET practitioner (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique), I’ve gotten a much broader view of allergies and how they affect us. Admittedly, our definition of allergies within NAET is much broader than most people would think about allergies. If you think in terms of energy, you can look at an allergy as an incompatibility between the energy of a substance (or virtually anything) and the energy of your body and/or mind. Using that definition, it’s easy to see how there could be an incompatibility on some level with a number of various items.

Allergies can manifest themselves in many different ways, depending on what parts of the body are being affected and where weaknesses exist in the body. When you look in the NAET literature at the list of ailments that have been successfully treated with NAET, it almost looks like NAET is a cure-all. There is no such thing as a technique that cures absolutely everything. The body is far too complex to have such a simple solution. But because of the many ways that allergies can manifest themselves, there are a host of health problems that can be directly or indirectly related to one or more allergies.

Energy work isn’t like standard medicine. Diagnoses aren’t as relevant in this type of approach. I’m not saying that health issues should not be diagnosed, but simply that it isn’t how energy medicine works. Energy work looks for imbalances. It looks for anything that interferes with normal functioning of the body. It assumes that the body, mind and spirit is a powerful combination that has the power to prevent and overcome most health problems. We just need to clear anything that’s getting in the way of its full, harmonious and unrestricted function. There are all kinds of techniques out there that strive to do that. For instance, chiropractic seeks to remove interference in the nervous system by realigning vertebrae. Acupuncture clears blockages in the flow of energy along meridians. The Emotion Code clears trapped emotions that are like little balls of energy. NAET corrects incompatibilities between the energy of a substance and the energy of your body. It’s all about the energy.

I can now see that virtually everyone is allergic to something on some level. These allergies may manifest themselves as serious health problems, simple tiredness or irritability, or anything in between. As with other energy medicine techniques that I use, the results I see range from minimal to miraculous. In some instances, the allergies represent a small factor in a person’s overall health issues. In that situation, they will see some improvement, but it won’t completely “cure” them. In other cases, it may be that the allergies were the one thing separating the person from nearly perfect health. That’s when we see the “miracles”.

Don’t assume that you have no allergies and that allergies don’t play any part in your health issues. Consider the possibility that allergies may be sapping your energy and causing you to have a less healthy, fulfilling life. Distance Healing

energyhealingOne of the most fascinating aspects of energy work, and one of the most difficult to accept (or at least it was for me in the beginning), is the concept of proxy work. If you’re not familiar with energy work, it may seem pretty crazy for me to tell you that I often work on people that I’ve never even met in person. Five years ago, if you’d have told me about someone doing this type of work, I may have even branded that person a charlatan; someone tricking people out of their money. Now I have many people who can attest to its effectiveness. In fact, if I’m not helping someone, I discontinue the treatment. I’m still amazed at how well this really works.

The first formal introduction I had to proxy work was through the training and certification process for The Emotion Code. Dr. Brad Nelson, in his book, The Emotion Code, describes it like this:

“When someone has been given authority to act for someone else, we commonly refer to the authorized person as a proxy… By voluntarily putting themselves into the position of standing in for someone else, a proxy can be tested as if they were the subject of the testing, allowing their body to be used to benefit the subject… It is literally a form of remote or distance healing. In quantum physics, there is a principle called “entanglement”. I recently watched a program where they talked about scientists doing work with this. After two particles are entangled, they can separate those particles by hundreds of miles and whatever they do to one particle is reflected in the other particle. I got excited when I heard this because it reminded me of the proxy work that I do. Whether these two principles are even connected (from a scientific standpoint), I don’t know. But I just thought it fascinating that we’re seeing a similar phenomenon outside of the world of healing and energy work.

There are many things that we can do long distance via a proxy, such as clearing trapped emotions, balancing energetic imbalances (I mainly use the Body Code), and treating allergies. I’ve worked on people as close as across the room and people as far away as the other side of the planet (New Zealand and Europe). I don’t know what the limitations are, but I can certainly work on anyone on this planet. The only catch that I know of is that you should have the subject’s permission before you have someone act as a proxy for them.
